Big Book Reading
Every week in class we read together a different Big Book. This week we are reading 'The Tree Keeper.' It is an engaging story about the special tiny people who look after the trees. Big Book is a great opportunity as a class to read a book together and talk about any new vocabulary. We think about what the meaning of different words are and whether it can be used in a range of ways.
Big Book also gives us an opportunity to build our skills with predicting what might happen next based on what we have read as well as supporting our understanding of what we have read.
Reading is a pure joy to all children and the variety of texts we share most certainly demonstrates Life in all.its Fullness.
