Nursery have had a lovely last few days of term finishing off our Elmer story focus and learning about Harvest Festival.
We have been using our cutting and sticking skills to make harvest baskets and scarecrows; made lunch with fruit and vegetables in the home corner; wrote shopping lists; compared quantities of vegetables using language: ‘more than’, ‘fewer than' and used different materials to colour in, stick tissue paper to and glitter our large class Elmer.
Then we finished off with a lovely RE discussion about being different, unique and special, and encouraged the children to talk about themselves and the things they like positively.
We are so happy and proud of the wonderful progress you have all made in such a short amount of time. Let’s keep it up Nursery!
