The children in Cedar Class have been doubling numbers this week. Our story of the week was The Hungry Caterpillar.
We doubled the fruit that the caterpillar had eaten and applied our doubling skills in the environment by doubling the spots on the ladybirds.
We learned about butterflies and how their wings are symmetrical so the children used the numicon to decorate the butterflies and double numbers at the same time.
Some children counted in twos and tens and others counted on to find the answers. The children set themselves challenges and just kept on doubling!
