The children in Cedar Class have been busy applying their mathematical skills in the provision.
There has been lots of counting, recognising and ordering numbers. The children have been fishing! They caught the correct colour fish and then ordered the numbers on the back.
Some children had fun building with the blocks to see who could make the tallest tower. We discussed how the tower with the most blocks stacked on top of each other was the tallest.
Some children had fun stacking the animals on top of each other. They counted how many they could balance before they toppled over.
There was some great problem solving, as they worked out which animals were best to have at the bottom and which were best to balance on top.
Some children wanted an extra challenge and completed some addition sums set by Mrs Guilfoyle.
