On Tuesday 14th January Willow class visited St. John’s in Ladywood as part of our ‘Interfaith Project.’ It was such a lovely day and the children took part in various activities including making a crown. We focused mainly on the story of the Epiphany and why Christians go to Church. We also discussed belonging and communities to help the children to recognise that our school is a Church school and belongs to a wider Church Community.
Our visit has also helped to develop the children’s Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Literacy, Expressive Arts and Design and Understanding of the world.
The children had a great time listening to the story of the Epiphany and had the opportunity to act it out. They also enjoyed singing songs and lighting candles.
