This week in nursery we have been continuing to learn about life cycles and the children have been surprised with the arrival of some chicken eggs that were about to hatch and over the last few days we have had 7 chicks hatch. The children have really enjoyed watching the chicks hatch and move about, learning about how they grow and what they need. The have learnt the importance of looking with their eyes and not touching until an adult is with them. Today we had a visit from Fir and Beech class and we got the chicks out so the children could hold them, being gentle and careful with the chicks so as not to hurt them, a great surprise for us all.
