On Tuesday we celebrated Aldersgate Day. The children spent the day learning about John Wesley and why he is an important figure in their lives. They learnt that John Wesley was the founder of the Methodist church, and our school prayer was taken from his famous words. They enjoyed finding out facts about him, like how he was concerned for people’s wellbeing and how he helped the poorest people of society. The children had a fun-filled creative afternoon, producing a portrait of John using their own choice of artistic expressions. Check out their amazing creations below!
