Wow what a busy week Maple have had learning all about Holy Week and it's importance for Christians.
During the week we have found out information about Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We have completed a variety of different writing activities to help embed this new knowledge. During our R.E session we have ordered the events of Holy week.
On Tuesday we had our Easter service we sang lots of Easter songs and Year 1 sang 'It started with a seed' which has tied into our Science project of plants. Last week we planted sunflower seeds and we are really happy to say that they have started to germinate and we can see the shoots poking out of the soil. Tomorrow the children will be bringing their seeds home so they can continue to look after them and watch them grow. They will need a sunny spot to live and don't forget to water them regularly.
We have also been creative by making our Easter cards. I'm sure you will love them as much as the children enjoyed making them.
We have had such a fantastic week and really have been 'Living Life in all it's Fullness.'
