This week we have lived 'Life in All its Fullness' by being super scientific investigators. We have now finished our 'Plants' topic and for our final session the children had to investigate a range of seeds. They worked as a team to study them closely with a magnifying class and describe what they looked like. Then they looked at the pictures of the packets to predict which seeds matched with each picture. We were very interested to see that corn and pea seeds look exactly like the foods. We were also very surprised to see how tiny the lettuce seeds are.
We also enjoyed a really fun day of learning at Cadbury World to kick off our new topic about the Cadbury family. We travelled back in time to see how cocoa beans travelled to the UK and the origins of Cadbury's Chocolate. We also learned how chocolate was made. We absolutely loved the ride and using the lasers to try and collect points. After lunch we were interested to see the old chocolate packaging from when Mrs Smith and Miss Wyatt were young. We then had a great time to the Adventure playground before we went home.
