Bishops Wood
The children have had a wonderful time Living Life in all its Fullness on our school trip to Bishop Wood. They enjoyed pond dipping and were absolutely fascinated by the newts they discovered. Afterwards, we ventured into the woods where the children searched for insects. They remembered our school values of gentleness when handling the insects and found safe places to release them back into their natural habitats. The final part of our trip was exploring the meadow. The children joyfully used nets to look for creatures and managed to find spiders, caterpillars, and even a couple of grasshoppers. This trip was not only fun but also a great learning experience.
When we returned to school, the children were excited to see that all five caterpillars we have in class had turned into butterflies. The children were very excited to release them. It was the perfect way to end the day.
