Bishops wood!

The children had an amazing time on their school trip to Bishops Wood. They spent the day outside exploring all the different insects and minibeasts. First they went looking under tree stumps and on the ground to find insects catching them in a plastic container to explore further. They were gentle with the animals and put them back some where safe. They then went pond dipping! The children each took turns too use the net to see what they could find in the pond. The even found a newt! Then the children went to the meadow where they could hear the grasshoppers and crickets. Using their nets the children had lots of fun in the long grass catching the insects. To end the trip they used the natural resources in the woods to create pictures. 
They all behaved wonderfully and I am very proud! Have a look at the pictures and see the children living life in all it's fullness.
