This week the children have enjoyed listening to the story of Rama and Sita. They learned that the Demon Monster, with ten horrid heads, took Sita away. The children talked about how Sita would have felt. After lots of discussion the children came up with the words; sad, terrified, scared, petrified and frightened. They also discussed how Rama would have felt and came up with the words; sad, worried, anxious, mad and angry. We all agreed that Rama and Sita were happy when they were together again and travelled back home to India.
The children made clay divas to remember the row of lights, welcoming Rama and Sita back home.
They also enjoyed making their own Rangoli Patterns and dancing to some traditional Indian music. Some children were busy in the construction building Rama's palace and in the writing area, making cards for Jessica from CBeebies.
