This week we have been busy 'living life in all its fullness' making our own 'shakers'. As part of our phonics the children have been listening to and talking about different sounds. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity for the children to be creative and make their own musical instrument! They had lots of fun choosing what to put in them and once they were made describing what they sounded like! The children mostly liked it when the shakers were loud!
We have been reading the story 'Whatever Next' by Jill Murphy and the children have been busy constructing their own rockets, cars and towers as a result. A few children even visited the moon for a picnic in their cardboard box rockets!
