This week while living life in all its fullness we have been celebrating Easter! The children have been immersed in Easter activities across their different learning areas. We have been reading Supertato The Great Eggscape in English. The children have loved the series of Supertato books with this one being their favourite. In Math's the children have been looking at which numbers are even and which numbers are odd. We have also planned for the children to go on an Easter egg hunt as part of their Understanding the World lesson. In R.E, the children understand that Easter is the second most important celebration in Christianity. It celebrates Jesus rising from the dead after he was executed. They also have a deeper understanding about the relevance of the chick to Easter, connecting to the notion of 'new life'.
