This week we have been 'Living Life in All Its Fullness' practising our phonics. We are enjoying our new teaching within Super Sonic Phonic Friends where we are learning some new spelling rules which are helping us with our writing. In the afternoon, we are continuing to practise our speed sounds and have competitions between the boys and girls to see who can read them the quickest. At the moment it is a tie as we are all making fantastic progress. We are also blending our real and alien words and deciding if they are real or nonsense words. We pick a 'pointer' each day to help us with this. We practise our spellings as our morning task as we arrive in school ready for our test each Friday. We also get to go to Frankley library to share books and hear stories which also helps us with our phonic skills. Evergreen are working so hard and again I am so pleased with the progress they are making!
