Exploring the colder regions!
This term we have immersed ourselves in the Artic and Antarctica. The children have been adventures and explored the climate, animals and what life is like there. We have learnt that their environment is very different to ours in Frankley. The children have been particularly fascinated by igloos. They have worked really hard and built their own igloo. This has enabled them to develop more than their geographical knowledge. They have also learnt how to work together in a team, problem solve and to keep trying!
We have also been learning about the Chinese New Year. The children enjoyed learning about the similarities and differences in our New Year celebration compared to theirs. They were in awe of the dragon dance so we created our own!
