Due to the warm weather and hot temperatures in school in the afternoon we will close to ALL pupils at 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Children are able to wear their PE kit everyday this week.
The children have been 'Living Life in all its Fullness' through their phonics lessons. We are now in our consolidation phase of learning the Basics 2 and 3 sounds. Most children are secure in all the single sounds and digraphs in Cedar Class. We are repeating all the sounds because phonics is an integral part of their learning. It helps the children understand the relationship between letters and sounds and teaches them how to blend. Being secure in phonics also makes it easier for them to read new words, improves their spelling, and develops strong reading skills. By learning phonics, our children have gained confidence in decoding words, which supports their overall language development and love of reading.
