Fir Class enjoyed a day learning about Chinese New Year.
We read about how the animals raced across the river to each have a year named after them and found out that this New Year is the Year of the Dog.
We worked together to make decorations and produce art work to make a collaborative poster showing all of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac.
In Maths, we helped the Chinese Dragon to order his scales by applying our knowledge of number and even had a go at writing some Chinese numerals.
We had a great day and the children were all very proud to share their work in assembly.
