Gentleness
The children have been "Living Life in All Its Fullness" by displaying our value of gentleness. We have been working on developing our understanding of what it means to be gentle. The children now understand that they can be gentle through both their words and actions. An example of the children displaying the value is when Layla showed gentleness to a ladybird by having kind hands. Aisha showed gentleness to her friend Xaaliyah by holding her hand when she was upset. Hollie was gentle with her voice when singing.
To further put these skills into practice, they had the opportunity to plant cress. The children had to handle the soil, water, and cress seeds gently in order to successfully create their own potted plants. They have been monitoring their plants daily and ensuring that they handle them with care so they can begin to flourish.
We look forward to seeing them sprout next week!
