Handwriting

This week in Fir, we have been thinking and reflecting on our value of gentleness. We have been thinking about how sometimes when we are learning, we can be a bit unkind to ourselves when we want to do our best but find it hard to get there. We’ve have been trying to reflect on how we can be kinder and gentler to ourselves and each other through being kind and gentle and looking at how progress we have made. When we first started doing handwriting every day, we sometimes found it tricky to focus and concentrate on our letter formation. Our letters would sometimes be facing the wrong way or not sitting on the line! We have taken a look back through at our handwriting across the year, and can see amazing progress. By being gentle and giving ourselves time, we have greatly improved our handwriting! This has helped us in not only our English lessons, but in every topic in school. We are so proud of how much we have learned and grown this year!
