This week we have looked at Geometry and started learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We have learnt the names and properties of the shapes using vocabulary such as straight, curved, edge, corner and vertices. We have been 'Living life in all it's Fullness' by playing some maths games. First, a sorting game with Santa's Christmas presents, naming the present and putting it with the correct sign. Then, we made a new tower for Rapunzel, deciding which 3D shapes would work the best. Finally, we have made 2D shapes out of lollipop sticks, remembering how many sides each shape had. We have really enjoyed this topic on shapes.
