Mark Making in Nursery
27th Feb 2025
The children love mark-making in nursery, and it is an important part of their development into becoming writers. They start by learning pre-writing shapes such as circles, lines, and zigzags. Then, they progress to drawing pictures, like a face or a house, before gaining the control needed to form letters. The children practise writing their names every day, and we are observing amazing progress. This week, they practised their names using a cotton bud and a zip-lock bag with paint. Have a look at all the mark-making fun and the children living life in all its fullness
