This week, Fir Class have been enjoying 'Life in all its Fullness' with a marvellous music session. Over the last half term, we have been learning some very technical language such as 'pitch' (whether a sound is high or low), 'dynamics' (whether a sound is loud or quiet) and 'timbre' (the quality of a sound). We have also been identifying 'tuned and untuned' instruments and using them to investigate making our own music.
Our final musical composition was to create the sound of the ocean using a selection of instruments. We listened to some ocean sounds and then tried to recreate a musical version of the sounds. After exploring a variety of instruments, we decided that the untuned instruments were the best for making the sound of the waves crashing.
