This week we have been busy exploring different aspects of maths. The children have followed the adventure of number 8 and expanded their counting skills. They have used their knowledge to extend what they know about numbers and apply them in the environment. Today they used their maths skills in the construction area and explored positional language. Max, Archie and Haider made a great structure and used language such as on top, under and next to when describing where the animals were. We have also been busy mark making to help us form our numbers correctly, our rhyme today was ‘make an S and do not wait, that’s the way we make number 8’.
