Due to the warm weather and hot temperatures in school in the afternoon we will close to ALL pupils at 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Children are able to wear their PE kit everyday this week.
This term, the children have been developing a strong foundation in early maths through fun, hands-on learning experiences. They have been focusing on key concepts such as identifying even and odd numbers, creating patterns, exploring number bonds of 5 and 10, and understanding the ideas of more and less. White Rose provides lots of practical activities, games, and group work, to enable the children to build their number sense. We are also supporting them to see patterns in the way numbers work. These early skills are essential as they form the building blocks for future mathematical understanding and the confidence they will need in Year 1.
