The children have been busy living life in all its fullness. They have nearly come to the end of their number journey to 10. The children have been gaining a deeper understanding of the composition for each number to 10. In Autumn 2 they are also given the opportunity to develop their counting skills, we incorporate counting into everything we do. The children are starting to use basic mathematical language and are problem solving through fun games too. To support their development at home you can join them in simple yet effective activities. Using building bricks or toys, you can encourage them to count how many red or blue bricks they have. You can also ask them to give you a certain number of toys. This will help your child practice using their maths skills, as well as understanding the language of maths. Check out their amazing number work below!
