National Poetry Day
This week, it is national poetry week, Miss Parsonage set us a challenge to create and perform a shape poem. During the week, we first chose if we would like to write a poem about a dinosaur, a shark, a flower or a ladybird. In our groups, we created a team mind map with adjectives to describe our object. Then, we created our own plan of words we thought we may like to use. Together we created a poem about a shark and then it was time to create our own poems, we were so proud of them and couldn't wait to perform them. We discussed how we need to say our words clear and project our voices. We had a practise by telling our partner our poems and then we stood on the stage and performed them. We were a little bit nervous, but we were brave and did a fabulous job! Check us out Living Life in all its Fullness.
