This week we welcomed back the nursery children after the Easter break along with six new sapling children. The saplings have fitted in really well and the older nursery children have been so welcoming. They have taken them under their wings, showed them around the nursery, played with them and have set such a wonderful example of how we follow our Christian values and our nursery expectations.
We also discussed our Easter break and what we did. Before half term we learnt all about why Easter is important for Christians. We shared the Easter story together and discussed the new life that’s a part of the Easter story, reflecting on how Spring is a special time in the calendar of seasons as a celebration of new life all around. Today we went on a school walk looking for signs of new life in the Holly Hill playground and fields. We found - Spring flowers, buds, blossom, grass cut/smell, feathers and bees.
We are very proud of how all of the nursery children have adapted so well this week.
