In Willow class we have been talking about where we live and places we see on our way to school to support their understanding of the area they live in and then apply this to creating maps. Using images of the local area the children and I talked about how they travel to school. We then used large pieces of paper with Holly Hill in the centre to create a map of their journey from home to school. The children had great fun talking about what they see along the way and how we travel to school.
