Phenomenal phonics in Maple
What a brilliant start to the new year we have been having. Maple class have been 'Living Life in all it's Fullness' this week by showing what wonderful work they can do in phonics. For the last few weeks we have been looking at consonant, consonant, vowel, consonant, consonant words, we call these CCVCC words, for example crisp and plank. We have been ensuring we say CCVCC the second and third consonant a little bit louder and a little bit longer to make sure we hear all of the sounds. In our pictures you can see the actions for 'a super segment and a brilliant blend, helps us to hear the word at the end.' We have been working very hard on hearing all of the sounds within our writing. Keep up the hard work Maple class.
