This week we have been 'Living Life in all it's Fullness' by showing how clever we are at adapting our phonic skills. We are now starting a new phase in our phonics journey called 'Switch it Spell sounds'. We have been using the phrase 'It looks the same but sounds different.' We have been practising reading it one way and if it doesn't make sense switch it to the other sound we know and try again. For example the 'u' sound in stunt sounds different in tuba, it now makes the sound of its name which sounds like the word 'you'. It can be a little bit confusing but we are working so hard to learn all of the different sounds that can be made in words.
