Willow class are working really hard with their phonics, from identifying initial sounds to write, to reading captions and matching them to a picture. There are so many new skills for our children in Reception to learn, they are recognising and identifying all the graphemes (letters) and have now started with digraphs (two letters, one sound).
They are using this to identify the initial sounds of words and also blending them together to read simple words. The children are also using this knowledge to write the graphemes and digraphs, as well as write simple words and sentences.
I am sure you will agree that they are doing an amazing job well done Willow class, Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Hood are always very proud of you.
