This week, Beech Class have been living 'Life in all its fullness' in our Phonics sessions. Year 2 have now completed the revision of all of our sounds and have been learning some new Year 2 spelling rules. Our focus this week has been adding the suffix 'ing' onto the end of the word. The children now know 'If the vowel sound is short, then double the consonant and add 'ing''.
Some examples are 'sit' becomes 'sitting' and 'wag' becomes 'wagging'.
