Reading and Children in Need

18th Nov 2022

In Willow class, we love to read lots of different story books! Every week we have a big book. So far the children have enjoyed the three little pigs, sharing a shell and this week noisy monkey. What great books they are! We have had lots of discussions about what is happening in the story and the different characters.

We also have a voting station where children can vote for what story they want to read at the end of the day. They vote by writing their names on a piece of paper and placing it in the bowl by the story they wish to read. We have fun at the end of the day countng out the votes to find out the winner.

I also want to say a big thank to all the parents who continue to read with their child at home. It really does make a difference.

Finally, the children had lots of fun for Children in Need, truly living life in all it fullness. Thank you for all the donations. The children enjoyed finger painting, making their own Pudsey bear picture and decorating a biscuit with icing and sweets! They all sat together and ate their biscuit and watched a story all about Pudsey bear and his fundraising.
