Remembrance Day

11th Nov 2021

This week we have be focusing on the value of gentleness and we have shared some quiet time together on the carpet and book corner observing our favourite stories together.

Early reading ignites creativity, sparks curiosity, and stimulates the imagination in young children. Often, this leads to role-play as children grow which helps to develop other skills such as empathy, problem-solving, and morality.

We have also talked about why we mark Remembrance Day, using stories to help to learn about different people and animals who were affected by war.

The children all worked together painting and colouring to make a class wreath to remember them. Some of the older children in Nursery then gathered silently in the school prayer garden to remember all those who gave their lives to help us to live in peace and freedom. Mrs Jones led the lovely service.

Another wonderful week Nursery!
