Remembrance Day
This week in willow class we spoke about Remembrance Day, learning about what it is and why people are wearing poppies. We looked through a PowerPoint which explained how we remember the soldiers that have fought in wars. The children all had a go at creating some beautiful poppies and we used them to make a wreath. The children all went to the prayer garden and took part in a minute of silence.
The children have all worked really hard this week especially learning their new sounds in phonics! We have focused on the sounds i,m,n and d this week. They also enjoyed a lovely trip to the library this afternoon.
This all adds up to living life in all its fullness!
