Remembrance Day in Fir Class
7th Nov 2024
Living life in all its fullness this week, in Big Book sessions Fir Class have been reading all about a little dog called Stubby who was decorated for his bravery during WWII. We were so interested in this true story that we researched other animals that helped in the war. We found out that horses, pigeons, elephants and even glow worms played an important part in keeping our country safe! Here is the wreath that we made... you can see a drawing of Stubby in the middle. But, if you look closely at the poppies surrounding the wreath, you can see drawings of the other animals that helped too.
