Remembrance Day in Maple
This week we truly have been 'Living Life in all it's Fullness,' thinking all about Remembrance Day and what this means. We first of all learnt about why we wear poppies to remember our fallen soldiers in the war. We discussed our thoughts and feelings about what a sad time this was. We used words like worried, lonely and scared. Then Miss Lewis shared some pictures with us and we learnt that her brother had been a soldier, she shared some happy memories with us especially when he got to be part of the Royal wedding for Prince William and Princess Kate. He is no longer in the army but still does a lot for the armed forces and the Royal British Legion. Next we carefully coloured and cut out our poppies to create this beautiful wreath. Collectively we came up with our prayer which we will say during our Remembrance service this week. Lest we Forget.
