Today Rev Jan shared the story of Jonah and the Whale. In the story Jonah is told by God to deliver his message to the people of the city of Ninavah. Jonah doesn’t listen to God, he thought to himself he does not like the people in Ninavah so he is not going to go! Jonah travels on the Sea to Spain. On the Journey, a storm came and all the people of the boat prayed to God. They asked him to help. Jonah did not to pray. The storm got worse so the people threw Jonah off the Boat. Jonah was swallowed by a while. Inside the whale he prayed and prayed and asked God to forgive him. God heard him and he did. Jonah knew what he must do. He must go and spread the message that God had told him. When he got to Ninavah, Jonah spread the message and they heard his teaching. The city would have been distroyed if they had not heard the message and asked God to forgive them. Jonah helped to save a whole city and was truly sorry.
