Science in Year One
We have been living life in all its fullness by exploring the world scientifically!
Last half term, we explored the natural world by learning all about plants - what different parts are called, what each part is for, and we even got to plant our own sunflowers! We loved seeing our flowers grow as we took care of them by giving them what they needed.
This term, we are thinking about materials. Today, we have explored everyday objects and thought about what they are made out of. We have found items both in our classroom and outside that are made of wood, glass, plastic, metal, fabric and stone. We have even started to deepen our thinking and consider how we know!
We love exploring in science and can't wait to learn more!
