Sharing what's amazing about our school!

13th Nov 2018

We were thrilled to be asked to be part of a research project with National Institute for Christian Education Research at Canterbury Christ Church University. The purpose of the project was to look at the fruitful ways in which church primary schools (working in collaboration with churches and other interested stakeholders), facilitate opportunities for the exploration of faith and spiritual life in the home.

We welcomed Dr Ann Casson to spend the day with us in school last Friday. She had a wonderful time meeting with parents, staff, children and all of the people who help to make our school such a special place for our children.  Ann was astounded by the amazing stories of the fabulous work that is happening with our children and their families.  The fabulous things that she discovered on her visit will be included in her research project when it is published later in the year.

The children were keen to talk to Ann about the ways that our values help us to make choices about how we behave with each other.  The children were eager to share examples of ways in which our values help them in their daily lives at school and at home and talked about why our values were important to us all.

Thank you to all of the parents who gave up their time to meet with Ann to share their views on our school.  It was a privilege to hear the wonderful stories that you shared about the difference that our school makes to the lives of your children.

It was clear from all of the discussions that our shared ethos, based on our 12 Christian values is evident in all that we do.  Everyone in our school community helps to make it the special place it is.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helps us to bring Life in all its Fullness to our school community.
