Showing Friendship in Cedar
Last week the children continued to make the world a better place through acts of kindness towards others.
Some children wrote Christmas cards, some children made pictures and others helped out at school and home.
The children recognise the importance of friendship not just to our friends but to people in the community and throughout the world. Our Advent of change calendar has helped us to make a difference to a child who is deaf, it has helped to teach a child the importance of exercise and learn how to play cricket and helped a family be together when their sick child is in hospital. At Holly Hill we know the significance of family, and helping a family be together at Christmas brings us joy.
On Friday the children supported other children and donated money to wear their Christmas jumpers. Thank you for your generosity and helping us to bring joy to others. The children received a Friendship certificate as a whole class for their contributions. Well done Cedar Class.
Le’Roy also received an award for showing friendship to another child. He noticed his friend was struggling, walked over to him, took him by the hand and led him to an adult. Thank you Le’Roy for also showing love and gentleness to your friend.
