This week, living life in all its fullness, we have been designing and writing instructions about how to make sandwiches (or baguettes!) for the friendly Giant from the text we are reading at the moment- Jack and the Baked Bean Stalk by Colin Stimpson. Firstly, when we were designing our silly sandwiches we had to think about the scrumptious ingredients. Next, we had to use our oracy skills to tell our talk partners how the sandwiches were made using time openers, imperative verbs, adverbs, conjunctions and expanded noun phrases.
