Reception recently went on a trip to St John’s Church. They had a wonderful time learning about Epiphany. They learnt that Epiphany is a Christian festival that takes place just after Christmas, it celebrates the Three Kings arrival to see baby Jesus. They also learnt that it can be celebrated with parades and fireworks.
They had a delightful time roleplaying the birth of baby Jesus and making their own prayers. They particularly enjoyed making crowns so they could be King Herod and candles for their prayers. The children had some lovely prayers as they put their candle on the tree. Charlotte was thankful for her teachers because they make her happy. Declan was thankful for the sun when it shines and Jocelyn was thankful for her friends!
