The children in Willow class have been working hard in phonics. This week they have learnt the sounds 'y, z, zz and qu. They all love the phonics lessons especially all the actions and rhymes they get to say and do!
We are learning to sound out and spell simple words, encouraging children to hear the sounds and have a go at writing words such as yes, zap, buzz and quack! To further challenge the children they are learning to write simple sentences and captions.
