Wow, what a week we have had 'Living Life in all its fullness' and learning all about how we can be sustainable and look after God's beautiful world.
At the start of the week, we found out what being sustainable meant. We found out this means taking care of the Earth so that it stays healthy for a long time.
We found out that we were going to make hedgehog homes to place around the playground. We looked at some different designs and then planned our own. Some of us thought it would be a good idea to put a camera on so the hedgehog could see if the fox was coming. We then spent some time writing instructions on how to make a house. We can't wait to place them around school tomorrow.
We then learnt that we were going to have two eco-warriors for the class. We discussed the jobs that they would do to help in school. To make it fair, we voted on who we thought would be best for the job and gave our reasons. We are pleased to announce that our eco-warriors are Lottie and Remi.
We have also made posters to place around school showing everyone the different ways that we can be sustainable.
We have had such a busy week, but by far, our favourite activity has been gardening in our very own vegetable patch! We have spent time digging to get the soil ready, and then we have planted peas, beans, and strawberries. We can't wait to see how they grow!
