The Animals that helped us in the War

Beech Class learned all about the animals that helped us in the war this week. We learned that horses used their strength to pull machinery, pigeons carried important messages and dogs carried medical supplies to help injured soldiers. Even zoo animals, such as elephants, played a role in the national war effort. We used this knowledge to create a beautiful wreath (if you look closely you can see the animals carefully drawn on the poppies) then thought about what these magnifcent, skilful animals did for us in our minutes silence.
