Here in Beech and through Living Life in all its Fullness, we believe in the great importance of home reading. We are lucky that many of you also realise this and read with your child regularly at home. In year 2, children learn to read with fluency rather than relying on sounding and blending skills. Encourage your child to reread the texts that they bring home to help to improve there skill of fluency. Also, inference and understanding begin to play an important part. The texts often contain questions for you to ask your child. Most of all though, we want you and child to enjoy reading just as much as we do here at Holly Hill!
