This week, in Evergreen, we have really had to think carefully about our new spellings and phonics.
We have been focusing on the spelling rule for 'c'. We now know that this letter can make both the 'c' and 's' sound.
Throughout the week and every morning, we practice our spellings in class. This really supports our understanding and recognition of different words. Throughout phonics, we revise over the new spelling rule and play games to support us.
Any support at home with spellings is greatly valued as this extends our knowledge, recognition and understanding.
