The children have been living life in all its fullness now the weather has been better. In Reception we have an open-door policy where the children are encouraged to use the outside provision. This week we have been focusing on using the water play area. Water is an important natural material that provides lots of learning opportunities. Actions like pouring, squirting, stirring, and squeezing are all important movements that lead to increased fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. All these skills help the children develop their fine/gross motor skills and are an engaging way for them to begin to understand 'Science'.
